For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored 1942 Parker Emerald Pearl Single Jewel Celluloid Fountain Pen in the Major Size. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold-Filled Split Arrow Clip, Gold-Filled Two-Ring Cap Banding, and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, and Polished the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the material of the fountain pen. The color on this Vacumatic is vibrant and very colorful. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size (but known as a Junior due to the 2-Ring Cap Banding & no blue diamond clip) that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the split arrow gold-filled clip and is in excellent condition with absolutely no wear. The 2 ring cap banding is in excellent condition with no wear. The trim is bright gold and in perfect condition. The top jewel is black and has been polished to bring back a gorgeous shine. The barrel imprint is crisp and clearly stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with a date code 2 (for 1942) in the 2nd quarter". The transparency of the barrel is water-clear but displays some mild ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 10-13 presses to fill full. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly and now operates flawlessly.

The Parker NIB is a 14K gold Split Arrow Medium Point NIB with a matching date code of 2 for 1942 and has a medium point measuring roughly .68mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to broad line variation. The line/stroke measures between .56mm with light pressure and will flex to 1.11mm with firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Blue Ink.

This is a Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen that displays a stunning Emerald Pearl color. I grade this Parker Vac in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to your writing arsenal collection.
